Three decades have elapsed since the mighty V-Max first roared onto the scene—a landmark celebrated through both triumph and challenge. In the wake of its creation, Kenji Ekuan, the visionary behind GK Design, departed this realm. Though his name may not resonate as loudly as his European counterparts, his legacy reverberates through creations like the iconic Komachi bullet train, the revered Kikkoman soy sauce vessel, and an illustrious lineage of Yamaha motorcycles spanning five decades. 

Amidst the passage of time, Yamaha rekindles the spotlight on the V-Max, orchestrating a harmonious fusion of past and present. Jens vom Brauck of Cologne's JvB-moto takes the reins, breathing fresh life into the V-Max saga with a masterpiece christened "Infrared." According to Vom Brauck, the VMAX is not usually the type of bike that JvB-moto would create. However, once you experience the power it delivers, you become hooked and forget about its weight. It is the ideal bike for a combination of dragster and café racer styles. 

Packed with 174 hp at the ready, the VMAX yearns for no further performance enhancement. As Vom Brauck attests, “When you accelerate, you feel the brutal power of the V4 engine… So I wanted to accentuate the bike’s dragster genes.”
